ummmm malfunctioning decorative light burns someone out. Funny I just passed this restaurant not long back and said it looked like a place that wasn't SCUMMY like the rest of the dumps they've taken over in Tampa... hmmmmmmm. I probably have that on video so ...

They spared the kitchen so maybe they can patch up their relationship.

In Tampa they like to specialize in flammable materials placed in your vent above your kitchen stove so that when you use the vent to clear away cooking smoke or odors your house catches on fire and they call it lightning. Sure and they do. Ask P Davis and ask the Fireman who lives in my hood. And his nephew.

Also does anyone else wonder why firehouse fourteen (stalking station at app. dale mabry and neptune) would be going out of their way to return to their errr stalking and tracking base (fire station fourteen) via macdill (one block from bayshore) and waving at me all wild.

Fire officials in Tampa this morning say an electrical short is responsible for causing a blaze a Latin restaurant overnight.

Tampa Fire Rescue crews were called to Nuevo Cafe, 3301 S Dale Mabry Highway, around midnight, after getting a call from a passerby who noticed the building was burning, authorities said. The restaurant was closed for the night.

Investigators say the fire started in the right front portion of the building when a decorative light malfunctioned.

Arriving firefighters contained the fire to the front of the building, sparing the restaurant's kitchen, Tampa Fire Rescue spokesman Capt. Bill Wade said in a statement. The flames threatened a nearby home, prompting police to temporarily evacuate the household.

Damages are estimated around $500,000, Wade said. No injuries were reported.
