Tampa police: Kicked out of bar, drunken man returns with knife
By Stephanie Wang, Times Staff Writer

TAMPA — Drunk and disorderly, a Tampa man was told to leave a bar around midnight Saturday. But he wasn't gone long from the Stop In Tavern.

Police say he soon returned with a 10-inch kitchen knife.

According to jail records, the "extremely intoxicated" suspect confronted a male victim and stabbed him once in the left forearm. The knife, police said, went in one side and out the other.

The victim was not named in the arrest report.

Bar patrons subdued the suspect until police arrived at the tavern, 4317 W South Ave., in Drew Park.

Timoteo Garcia, 40, of Tampa was arrested Sunday morning at St. Joseph's Hospital. He faces a charge of aggravated battery.

Garcia was being held Sunday at the Hillsborough County Jail on $7,500 bail.

hardraada Feb 5, 2012 4:43 PM Yesterday Why no. That would be illegal to bring his gun into the bar. I'm sure that's why he left the gun outside and only brought a knife. Didn't wish to violate any laws. Reply Report Abuse 0 2 gdcares Feb 5, 2012 4:29 PM Yesterday All in the day of another boozer loser. Grow up folks it is wqaay past time.

TruthisSoarinAway Feb 6, 2012 10:36 AM Less than a minute ago I noticed that the fire dept stalking quelled a bit yesterday. One assumes they did not want DUIs. Instead it was their puerto rican (self-identified) business partners who take no days off and do everything SOOO overblown there wer 50 of them and their auto dealer tags crammed in a seven eleven with me. Idiocy. Even the clerk commented on it.

DADE CITY — Pasco sheriff's deputies are searching for two brothers wanted in the shooting of another man in the head over the weekend.

Jose Contreras, 24, and Adrian Contreras, 31, had an argument with the man about 10:30 p.m. Saturday in the driveway of a home at 40214 River Road, according to the Pasco County Sheriff's Office. Adan Diaz Flores, 49, was shot in the head multiple times. He is at an undisclosed hospital.

Deputies did not say what the argument was about.

Jose Contreras, of 29115 State Road 52 in San Antonio, and Adrian Contreras, of 34919 Ansley Ave. in Dade City, are both considered armed and dangerous, authorities said.

Anyone with information on their whereabouts may contact the Pasco Sheriff's Office or their local law enforcement agency immediately. The Sheriff's Office communication center is at (727) 844-7711. The toll-free tip line is 1-800-706-2488.
